The Best Christmas 2019 Home Tours

This week, I am happy to be a part of the Holiday House Tour along with 50 talented blogger friends sharing their homes decorated for Christmas!  The tour is hosted by my friend Krista at The Happy Housie, so be sure to check out her inspiring blog.  If you are coming from All Things With Purpose blog, welcome y’all!

Today, I am sharing how I decorated my formal dining room for Christmas. However, I always keep it casual.

To the window, to the wall! I love to decorate it all.

I really tried to combine my love for rustic, natural elements and sparkly, glittery Christmas decorations.  In my home, I love neutrals with lots of blues and greens!  To me, it feels inviting, yet peaceful.  I want our home to always feel welcoming for my family, and a place of rest.

Rustic Glam is just my jam!

Again, I love the mix of rustic with glam!  Therefore, I styled my table with a collection of mercury glass trees, pinecones and a blue and green plaid table runner. I have collected the mercury glass trees from several Homegoods stores over the years.

In addition, I incorporated these elements throughout the room. For example, on the Christmas tree, I used an assortment of rustic wood, antler and deer ornaments with mirrored signs and navy glass balls.  Variety is the spice of life, so use a mix of ornaments or ribbon in different textures, sizes, patterns and shapes.

Deck the halls with lots of garlands!

On my large chalkboard, I hung a felt garland and a simple count down calendar.  If you want to see how I made this DIY Christmas countdown calendar, click here. It’s really easy and inexpensive with numbered gift tags, craft bags, festive clothespins and a ribbon!

If you like it, you better put a wreath on it!

This week I shared 5 Ways to Decorate with Mini Wreaths during the Holidays! For instance, I hung mini wreaths on the back of my dining room chairs with ribbon. Then, I hung two larger wreaths on the mirror and bay window. I think that you can mix fresh and faux greenery, as well as flocked and unflocked greenery in one room.
