Today, I am sharing some pretty outdoor tea party ideas to set up in the backyard. It’s inspired by flower gardens and vintage style.
Welcome to the Summer Outdoor Spaces Blog Hop hosted by AnnMarie & Anne from Simply2Moms! If you are visiting from Simply2Moms or if you just happened to stop by, I’m so glad you’re here.
It is fun to mix and match patterns of dishes, but I like to stick with a similar color theme.
While you can find collections of vintage dishes online or at antique stores, vintage silver, china and tea cups are really cheap at thrift stores like Goodwill.
I filled this decorative bird cage with fresh cut roses from my yard and grocery store flowers. First, I placed wet floral foam inside the cage and covered it with floral moss. Then, I pushed the cut stems into the foam, beginning from the center while moving outward. The floral arrangement is placed on a cake pedestal.
If you don’t want to create a floral arrangement, simply place flowers in a vintage pitcher.
Stack cake pedestals or use a tiered tray for bite size desserts, fresh cut fruit or yummy finger sandwiches.
In addition, serve a variety of tea or even lemonade for kids.
To soften the look of outdoor furniture, vintage tablecloths are layered over a gingham check plastic tablecloth. In addition, mini vine wreaths serve as napkin holders to compliment the outdoor garden theme of this tea party.
