If you have visited Magnolia in Waco, Texas, you have seen the crowded market or the long line outside the Silos Baking Co bakery. It’s Fixer Upper fans and decor lovers dream to visit. For this reason, many people describe it as ‘Disney World’ for adults!
Due to Covid 19, many tourist attractions in the world, including the Silos in Waco, have been closed. A few days after Chip and Joanna Gaines cancelled Spring at the Silos in mid March, the ‘shelter in place’ was also encouraged in Waco. The Silos in Waco have been closed since, and have yet to post an opening date. I don’t think that anyone expected most of Waco, or any city, to be shut down for two months.
Now, downtown Waco has fallen quiet. The streets are fairly empty. However, it was a perfect time to capture the beauty of Magnolia in Waco. I hope you enjoy this photographic tour around the Silos until the gates open again.
This is the main entrance of the Silos. It is flanked by Magnolia Market, the store, and Silos Baking Co, the bakery. Plus, the pair of Silos in Waco which originally caught Chip and Joanna Gaines’ eye, and now hold the attention of the rest of the world, too.
Behind the Silos, a garden area is filled with seasonal plants. In addition, there is the Magnolia Seed & Supply shop, a greenhouse and raised flower beds.
In addition, the garden area is currently being transitioned to their summer plants. If you didn’t know, they replant the flower beds and update the installations inside Magnolia Market 4 times a year to coincide with the Magnolia Journal magazine release. The summer edition of Magnolia Journal was released last week.
Silos Baking Co is a small but mighty bakery. The inside is quite charming, and the outside is decorated with planter boxes of lush greenery.
The Magnolia Press Coffee Shop is the latest, but wont be the last of the Silos in Waco construction. It’s a beautiful mix of modern and vintage vibes.
The Magnolia Press coffee shop is currently open for ‘to go’ orders only. Therefore, I think plans are being made for the rest of the Silos in Waco to open in June.
