Hey y’all! Thanks for stopping by my decorating blog, Cuter Tudor! My name is Amy; I’m a wife and mother of two. I have a background in studio art and educational leadership, but realized that HOME IS WHERE MY HEART IS. Therefore, I started this blog to inspire others to be creative, too.
I grew up in a small town near Waco, Texas. However, Waco officially became my hometown after attending Baylor University over twenty five years ago. Yep, I was Waco, before Waco was cool. Consequently, I am excited to watch Chip and Joanna Gaines transform our city. And eat Magnolia cupcakes more than I should.
My husband and I are on a journey to turn our 1980’s Tudor style house into a home that we love. Whether we are refinishing our family’s heirloom furniture, painting a room or hanging a new light fixture, our home is a work in progress. Coastal cottage is my favorite style. Often, I mix new with old. Adding natural elements with handmade or raw wood in a cool, neutral color palette is my ‘go to.’ Mostly, blue!
I enjoy celebrating each season and holiday. For instance, I love making holiday inspired gift baskets and no-bake treats no matter how old my kids become. In addition, I like styling the mantle or a table with my latest DIY seasonal decor pieces. Just give me a glue gun and spray paint and I can make anything look cute! My hope is that you find some inspiration on my blog to create a lived in, loved on home and build a life you enjoy. Lastly, I encourage you to take that trip to Waco. The cupcakes are worth the hype, y’all.
Find your passion and share it with others –
that is your purpose!

July 13, 2018 at 7:41 pmHI Amy, I can see you are REALLY enjoying your California Beach Vacation and visiting Carmel. May I suggest a “summer read” that is based in and around Carmel. I think you will LOVE it AND it will prolong your California Dreaming experience.

August 21, 2018 at 1:22 amI love the “coffee table” that has different colored wood on it. Did you make it? Where did you get the wood? Would covering an old cedar chest work? LOVE it,

September 7, 2018 at 4:14 amHello,
It is made from reclaimed wood that was salvaged from an old church outside of Waco. I can tell it was built on top of an old chest so I believe that would work. I bought it, but repainted some of the boards to match my style. Thank you
