Hey y’all! Thanks for stopping by the Cuter Tudor! My name is Amy; I’m a wife and mother of two! Texas born and farm raised! Fueled with coffee, sweet tea and a love to inspire creativity in others! I have a background in art and educational leadership, but have decided that home is where my heart is! Find your passion and share it with others – that is your purpose!

I grew up in a small town around Waco, Texas but, have called Waco my home ever since I moved here to attend Baylor in 2000.  I love to see Waco grow and be a part of this community.  Often, I stage products and create store displays at the Findery in downtown Waco, and also contribute to our local magazine, Modern Texas Living.

My husband and I are on a journey to turn our 1980’s Tudor style house into the home of our dreams. There are always projects going on! My home is a collection of things that I love, family heirlooms that have been handed down, and unique finds from my favorite stores.   I love to create gallery walls, restyle spaces and transform furniture with a makeover. My decor style combines traditional elements with a touch of French farmhouse and white cottage charm.  Vintage, distressed woods, and a little bit of glam are some of my favorite things. I would rather have chandeliers than jewelry, but don’t tell my hubby!

Life is short, so I believe in throwing a party and decorating for every holiday and season! I love to entertain by styling tablescapes, baking up sweet treats and creating gifts to share. From home remodeling to holiday crafts, I keep paint and a hot glue gun in my tool belt. I hope you find something here that inspires you to take on your next DIY project or just get a little crafty the next time  you entertain friends and family.

your home should tell the story of who you are, and be a collection of what you love.

HI Amy, I can see you are REALLY enjoying your California Beach Vacation and visiting Carmel. May I suggest a “summer read” that is based in and around Carmel. I think you will LOVE it AND it will prolong your California Dreaming experience.

We loved California! I want to go back to Carmel with my husband. It is so charming and so beautiful. I can’t wait to check out the book suggestion!

I love the “coffee table” that has different colored wood on it. Did you make it? Where did you get the wood? Would covering an old cedar chest work? LOVE it,

It is made from reclaimed wood that was salvaged from an old church outside of Waco. I can tell it was built on top of an old chest so I believe that would work. I bought it, but repainted some of the boards to match my style. Thank you
